Glenton & Yvette

This is Glenton and his lovely wife Yvette.   They got in touch with me in January to ask if I was still available to shoot their wedding in March at the Double Tree Hilton Resort in Zanzibar.   I’m so glad I was still available!   I met them in Johannesburg, South Africa, a few days later and they told me a bit about themselves and the wedding they were going to have. We got along and decided I would shoot their wedding. The day was perfect and everyone had such fun! Two days later I went back to the hotel to do a trash the dress shoot which I’m so glad they decided to do!

Vanessa & Nick

I always get excited when I get requests for safari weddings, I love being in the bush myself and photographing a couple in love in a place with so much beauty is such a treat! Vanessa and Nick had recently moved to Tanzania and asked me to meet them at the Four Seasons Safari Lodge in the Serengeti National Park to photograph their elopement. They arrived on the day of the wedding with two friends, after an adventurous few days of safari. It had been raining all morning and we had been scouting back up locations in case we would have to move the wedding inside, luckily, just before they arrived, the rain stopped and held off to give them a beautiful private bush ceremony and dinner on top of a kopjie in the middle of the Serengeti. Here are some pictures of their day!

Thomas & Yvonne

I met Thomas and Yvonne on the morning of their wedding in the middle of nowhere on a secluded beach, far from any hotels or people. They were all dressed for the wedding and met the minister to fill out the paper work before we all waded out into the water to board a traditional dhow boat that would take us to a private sandbank where they would embark on the adventure as husband and wife. We arrived at the pristine paradise where they had a beautiful intimate ceremony and afterwards a couple shoot before a picnic lunch on a nearby island while we watched the sandbank disappear back into the sea.

Best of 2016

Hello, 2016 has been a pretty incredible year! A year of adventure with some fantastic weddings in beautiful locations! I’ve had a hard time trying to choose my favorites from the year and not make this blog too long! Please have a look and enjoy!

September Update

Hi Everyone, I have been very quiet on social media and made no blog post in the last while due to an incredibly busy last few weeks to my season in Zanzibar. I’m now in Cape Town where I’ve been catching up on editing, enjoying a bit of a break and preparing for a workshop I’m hosting tomorrow! I should get a fresh post out soon with some new wedding shots and maybe even some from a honeymoon shoot in the Serengeti, but for now I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s workshop and a much needed weekend! Stay tuned for new wedding pictures soon!

Aly & Ryan – Wedding at Zalu

Hey Everyone, Wow, it’s been a crazy but amazing few weeks with so many great shoots and experiences, two multiple day Indian weddings, 3 photographic safaris to Serengeti (one for fun with my fiancé and the others with clients), two honeymoon shoots, one elopement wedding, one hotel shoot and this awesome wedding with Aly and Ryan at Essque Zalu in Nungwi, Zanzibar. I love weddings like this, being primarily a destination wedding photographer I don’t always get to meet the couples beforehand, as they come from all over the world, but Aly and Ryan lived just across the water in Dar es Salaam so we had the chance to meet before the big day! They chose Giuliana and Marzia from www.weddinginzanzibar.com to plan and arrange their awesome day and what a great choice it was. The decor was stunning and the day flowed seamlessly. There were tears (of joy), laughter, love, happiness and a great party… All adding up to a fantastic wedding… Take a look at the pics!

Welcome to my blog

Hey, This is my new blog where I’ll try and post new things and keep you up to date with anything exciting I’m shooting or anything interesting that’s happening with my work! To start, a shot from a wedding last week… Hope you enjoy! Andrew
